TED India Edition - A resounding beginning

The first Indian edition of the renowned TED (Technology Entertainment and Design) Conference drew to a close yesterday at Mysore to rapturous performance by percussionist Sivamani.

TED has been one of the most eagerly anticipated annual conferences by the technology world who are keen to unearth new ideas, great startup material, whiz kids and more. The fact that TED decided to host this year's edition in India speaks volumes of the changing perception of India as a giant in technology space.

Ideas like Sixth Sense, the founder of which, Pravin Mistry now wishes to go the open source route and make his product code available for free on the Net just leave you speechless.
