Tech upgrade for Indian politicians

A not so usual piece of news caught  my eye over the weekend. A report that stated that the Indian government had initiated lessons to the parliament members on how to use tablets computers to increase productivity.

It said, “Each of the 790 lawmakers, many of whom are elderly, has been granted 50,000 rupees ($1,000) to invest in one of the devices in an attempt to tackle India's infamously laborious red tape

In the backdrop of the anti corruption drive that is sweeping the country, this move should do a world of good to our politicians. Hope we see reduced paperwork to get laws passed in the parliament for starters
