Angry Birds Hit Facebook
It was but naturally complementary for the largest social networking site to have the most popular game on the planet on its menu. Angry Birds, a game that took the iPhone by storm and then transcended to Google Chrome and Android devices is now available on Facebook. For a social networking site that makes 13% of its revenues from games, Angry BIrds was a natural choice. It remains to be seen how the social element has been incorporated into the game.

SEBI and RBI now want a social presence
After PMO, now SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) and RBI (Reserve Bank of India) are planning a splash into the social networking area via Facebook and Twitter. SEBI plans to use its social presence to disseminate information to investors and other market participants.

CAS Mandatory by 2012

Information and Broadcasting Ministry of India has set June 30 as the deadline for TV viewers across the country to go digital via CAS (Conditional Access System). Per the nationwide cable digitisation process, all metros have to switch over to CAS by June 30, 2012 and then the phase out will start across towns and villages. By 2014, the government intends to do away with the analogue system.
